Weapon Skills

The Combat Proficiency skill is obtained once and applies to all weapon types; by default player characters gain this skill for free. All other skills in this section are bought separately for different weapon types, and are generally used by attuning yourself to one specific weapon type you intend to use for a given encounter.

All skills in this section are only usable in the Physical plane and have no effect in Vision Quests barring specific effects which directly override this.

Weapon Types

Basic (can be used without taking disarm even when unattuned):

Large Shield

Medium Shield

Paired Weapons

Spear

Staff or Long Hafted Weapon

Single Weapon

Great Weapon

Daggers

Level 1

Combat Proficiency

You may strike for DOUBLE with either a weapon you are attuned to or a basic weapon.

Use Weapon

Allows you to attune to a non-basic weapon type such as you no longer have to take a DISARM when striking with it. If you take this skill multiple times at the start of the encounter choose which weapon type you have attuned to.

Weapon Skill 1

If you are attuned to the weapon type you have selected you may use it to make the following calls based on weapon type. Anyone may chose to attune to any of the basic weapon types. For now see Table: final version will list here in addition

Level 2

Weapon Proficiency 1

If you are attuned to the weapon type gain the following benefits based on weapon type. For now see Table: final version will list here in addition

Weapon Skill 2

Pre-Requisite: Weapon Skill 1 If you are attuned to the weapon type you have selected you may use it to make the following calls based on weapon type. For now see Table: final version will list here in addition

Level 3

Weapon Proficiency 2

Pre-Requisite: Weapon Skill 3 & Weapon Proficiency 1

If you are attuned to the weapon type gain the following benefits based on weapon type. For now see Table: final version will list here in addition

If you are attuned to the weapon type you have selected you may use it to make the following calls based on weapon type. For now see Table: final version will list here in addition
