==== Themes which will not be present in the game ====
The following are NOT themes of Moonrise, and will not feature as part of the game, GMs should not introduce 
  * Discrimination on the basis of physical disability or mental health condition
  * Discrimination on the basis of real-world ethnicity or race
  * Discrimination on the basis of gender or sex
  * Homophobia / Discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation
  * Transphobia / Discrimination on the basis of gender identity
  * Genital Mutilation
  * Eating disorders
  * Self-harm

==== Theme which will be present in the game ====
The following ARE themes of Moonrise, and will occasionally feature as part of the game. They will not necessarily feature as part of every game, and if you would have an issue with one of these, please contact the larp organiser to discuss if suitable arrangements can be made. Themes described as major or common themes can be expected to appear in most if not all games, other themes will occur more rarely.

  * **Discrimination on the basis of nationality, religion or faith** - One of the main drivers of the setting is nationalism, and discrimination based on IC nation is common. The setting also contains themes of religious intolerance, again directed at in character religions.
  * **Discrimination on the basis of fantasy species** - Referred to in setting as Genusism some nations have varying levels of prejudice to the various Genera that make up the population of Ardora.
  * **Extreme violence** - Violence is a major theme of the game, and will occur in most encounters.
  * **Extreme gore** - Rarely phys-repped, but often described. This can include descriptions of the aftermath of violence and war, repercussions of inadvisable magic, and many other sources.
  * **Slavery, Mind Control, or other means of removing agency** - While slavery itself is not practised in Falgarias other nearby nations engage in the practice.  In addition people’s attempts to dominate others (through physical power, mental domination, or political manoeuvring) are major themes, which can result in both metaphorical and literal slavery.
  * **Torture** - Torture is exceptionally rare but not unheard of.
  * **Consensual sexual contact** - This is not a major theme of the game and roleplay should not exceed what is appropriate in a public space. More graphic scenes may well be described.
  * **Miscarriage and stillbirth** - While these themes are uncommon, they may be explored as part of the setting.
  * **Forced abortion** - While this theme is uncommon, it may be explored as part of the setting.
  * **Domestic Abuse** - Long term domestic abuse is not a theme of Moonrise, and should not be included within stories. However, most of the stories of Moonrise deal with forms of violence and vying for control, and these situation can arise within a family as easily as as any other group. If these sort of elements are introduced they should be specific to a situation or objective, not be indicitive of a long-term power imbalance, and ideally avoid traditional real-world power imbalances. Basically a father beating his wife and children to keep them in line is out, a daughter who is a firm devotee of The God of Deception and emotionally manipulates her parents into killing for her to prove their love is in.
  * **Incest** - Whilst it should not be focussed on it is not unheard of for nations who promote some level of nobility to view relationships closely within the family line in a positive light.
