Tenetria is the oldest of the Myriad Nations according to known records, and although the records only go back about 800 years it is believed to be over a millenium old. Found on the Northwest edge of the Great Lakes of Avalis, which are themselves a week or so travel West of Falgarias, Tenetria was the Lead Nation from the point that Emperor Felion first united the Myriad Nations through a program of careful strategic conquest around 600 years ago, until a little over 300 years ago when Iruspin launched a coup and wrestled power away to become the new Lead Nation.

Modern life in Tenetria is relatively quiet and peaceful, not counting the manner in which things have been shaken up by the Moonrise Event. Although their history as the Lead Nation hangs over them like something of a shadow, the general view in Tenetria is typically that their time as the ruling nation is over, that they do not need the power they once had, as they can make the most of life and focus on the good of their own nation rather than having more land or control than they really need. Perhaps out of respect for the past, more recent Emperors have not called upon Tenetria as much as others in the past, and so they have been largely left to focus on bettering their own nation. In so far as it's possible for a nation to retire, Tenetria can be said to have done so.

Tenetria maintains a capable military as much as a religious expression as for its own defence and to keep its borders secure, but it finds little use for it - the majority of other nations are reluctant to attack it given its history and the fact that it no longer seems concerned with expanding its own borders particularly.

Tenetria is primarily human, though there is a considerable mix of the other Genera to be found among its populatuion.

People in Tenetria typically have at least two names, with a first name, a surname at the end, and any number of middle names. The exception to this is Felion, who is known only by that name.

Tenetria is and has since the founding of the Myriad Nations been ruled by a benevolent dictator called Felion. Of course this has not remained the same person, but rather when the previous Felion dies another is found shortly afterwards with the help of the churches, who tend to receive visions in dreams around this time which guide them to the new ruler. It is believed to be a form of reincarnation in which the spirit of the original Felion passes from one body to another. The person the new Felion was before is treated as though they have died, though it is considered a great honour to become host to Felion.

Like Gari, Tenetria law is based around religious convictions to better the community. Therefore harming the community or its people in any form is illegal, with punishment proportional to the extent to which the community is harmed. They have a slightly different take on things to the Gari people, and the laws are less forgiving to those who commit misdeeds even if there is little chance of reoffence as those of Tenetria recognise the importance and benefit to the community that seeing due justice carried out has on morale.

When those perceived as outsiders are seen to be acting up or in some way harming the community, it is not unheard of for members of the community to take matters into their own hands and deal with the matter perhaps overzealously in some cases where the law itself would not quite be so strict. In these cases there are consequences for them, but as members of the Tenetria community who believed they were acting for the greater good these tend not to be proportionally too harsh.

Religion, and in particular worship of the Benefactor and associated focus on working for the betterment of the community, is of great importance to the people of Tenetria. Many of them are worshippers and services are considered an important community gathering for catching up and gossiping as well as worship.
