A scholar from Nehelipa's past, Tastiella's philosophical teachings are now followed as religion. The way of Tastiella (also known as Tastiellism) is very approximately Taoist in nature and encourages living in harmony with a fundamental philosophical truth immanent in the world. To follow it is to seek both inner and outer peace in harmony.

Followers of Tastiellism typically find ways that suit them in which they may find such peace. Meditation is common, as are acts which require limited conscious thought such as copying manuscripts. There are rare examples of those who find this peace in martial art, but only through specific forms and not whilst engaging in a meaningful fight.
